His Excellency, Vikram Doraiswami - Indian High Commissioner

His Excellency, Vikram Doraiswami is a distinguished Indian ambassador with over three decades of service in the Indian Foreign Service (IFS), which he joined in 1992. He holds a Master's degree in History from the University of Delhi and is fluent in Chinese and French.

Over his career, Doraiswami has held a series of high-profile postings, serving as Ambassador to Uzbekistan and South Korea, Consul General in Johannesburg, and Political Counsellor at India's Permanent Mission to the United Nations in New York. He also served as Private Secretary to the Prime Minister of India and led the establishment of the Ministry of External Affairs' Indo-Pacific Division.

Prior to his appointment as High Commissioner to the United Kingdom in September 2022, he served as High Commissioner to Bangladesh. He has since been appointed Ambassador of India to China.
