Nick Archer MVO - f. Ambassador to Czech Republic and Denmark and CEO, Girdlers
Nicholas Archer MVO is a distinguished British diplomat with over four decades of service in His Majesty's Diplomatic Service. He joined the Foreign and Commonwealth Office in 1983, building an extensive career across a wide range of international postings, including Amman, Norway, Malta, and Denmark.
From 1997 to 2000, he served as Assistant Private Secretary to King Charles III, for which he was awarded the MVO in 2001.
He subsequently rose to serve as High Commissioner to Malta and later as Ambassador to Denmark, before being appointed Her Majesty's Ambassador to the Czech Republic in January 2018, a role in which he served until December 2022.
He now serves as CEO (Clerk) of the Worshipful Company of Girdlers, one of the historic Livery Companies of the City of London.
