His Excellency, Ravshan Usmanov - Uzbekistan Ambassador to the UK

Ravshan Usmanov is the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the United Kingdom and Iceland. He studied Political Science with International Studies at the University of Birmingham, and also holds a degree from the University of World Economy and Diplomacy.

Usmanov began his diplomatic career in 2000, holding positions at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs central office and the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Spain, before heading the Ministry's Department for Cooperation with Europe and NATO. He subsequently served as Ambassador to France, with concurrent accreditation to Italy and Portugal.

From 2018 to 2023 he headed the diplomatic mission in Kuala Lumpur as Ambassador to Malaysia. He took up his current posting in London in late 2023, where he focuses on developing political, trade, and educational ties between Uzbekistan and the United Kingdom.
