Her Excellency, Nimisha Madhvani - Ugandan High Commissioner to the UK

Her Excellency, Nimisha Madhvani is Uganda's High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, a post she assumed in August 2022. Born in Uganda in 1959, she relocated to the UK at the age of 13 following the expulsion of Ugandan Asians by Idi Amin, completing her secondary education in England before pursuing university studies in the United States.

She began her diplomatic career with a posting to Uganda's Embassy in Washington DC in 1993, rising to Deputy Ambassador, before serving as High Commissioner in India and Ambassador to France, Spain, Portugal, the UAE, and the Nordic states.

Her tenure in London focuses on strengthening bilateral ties, promoting trade and investment, and supporting the Ugandan diaspora community. She is a member of the prominent Madhvani business family.
